A 33-year-old Nakasi man who is charged with two counts of being in possession of illicit drugs appeared in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
Ashish Akshay Kumar was allegedly found in possession of 0.9 grams of marijuana and 2 grams of methamphetamine between the 9th and 10th of this month.
The seizure was a result of a raid conducted at Kumar’s home in Nakasi where the methamphetamine and apparatus allegedly used for manufacturing the drugs was found.
While applying for bail, defence lawyer Andrew Liverpool says Kumar is willing to pay $1,000 cash bond and will also give two sureties for his bail conditions.
Kumar is remanded in police custody and Magistrate Sofia Hamza will deliver her bail ruling on the 17th of this month.
