Man charged for indecent assault on 4 year old

A 62-year-old man of Navua is in police custody for allegedly indecently assaulting a 4-year-old girl last week.

The victim and the suspect are related.

The alleged incident took place last week where it is alleged that he indecently assaulted the girl.

The four-year-old reported the matter to her mother who then took the matter to police.

It is alleged that he indecently assaulted the victim on two occasions.

He is expected to be charged soon.

In another incident police in Navua are also investigating a claim by a 19-year-old woman that she was allegedly raped by a group of men she was drinking with.

The girl reported to police that the alleged incident took place when she passed out while drinking.

The suspects are known and arrests are expected to be made soon.
