A man is in custody after he was allegedly trying to tamper with surveillance cameras where the seized $2 billion worth of methamphetamine is being stored by Police.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Sakeo Raikaci says they can confirm that an investigation is ongoing to ascertain the man’s motive and intention.

He says the Police Mobile Force is well guarded, for many reasons that will not be able to be divulged publicly due to security reasons.

ACP Raikaci says the enhanced security measures are closely monitored through their Command Centre which is equipped with the support of the Australian Federal Police.
