The motive behind the gruesome attack on a 40-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter at their Varamoli home in Lautoka early this morning is not expected to be known anytime soon.
A 41-year-old man is alleged to have taken his own life after he allegedly stabbed his wife and daughter.
Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the 40-year-old woman is admitted in serious condition while her daughter is reported to be stable.
She says they will wait for the two to fully recover before they will be interviewed.
Naisoro says the post-mortem of the 41-year-old man will be conducted soon.
