Majority of buses, belonging to Maharaj buses which provides services between Navua and Sigatoka have been grounded by the Land Transport Authority.
Chief Executive, Etuate Koroi said following the bus fire in Volivoli, Sigatoka last month, LTA officials inspected all the buses belonging to Maharaj buses and found defects.
More than fifty students of Cuvu College had to jump out of the burning bus. Koroi said they are carrying out inspections on other buses.
Meanwhile, Maharaj Buses confirm eleven buses out of eighteen are under minor repairs in their garage after the directive was issued by the LTA.
