Low pressure likely to affect parts of the country
A current trough of low pressure is likely to affect most parts of the country in the following days.

Weather patterns indicate a low pressure moving slowly towards the Country and is likely to intensify by Tuesday evening next week.

Fiji Meteorological Office Director Alipate Waqaicelua said with the trough of low pressure changes to the weather is expected.

At this stage it is too early to say what shape or form it will take as and when it comes and how much closer to Fiji but it is pretty certain that Fiji will get strong and gusty winds from this bands of rain, as well as heavy rain from Tuesday or even earlier.

In light of this, Government is also encouraging members of the public to make the necessary preparations.
