As the standoff between the Fiji Rugby Union and the Commerce Commission continues on the lottery ticket saga, the life and future of one man and his family hangs in the balance.
Local golfer Olaf Allan was declared the winner of the major prize of $100,000 through a public announcement and he had started making plans on securing his families future through this money.
Today Allan flies out to Australia to represent Fiji in a golf tournament and said he is hoping that the FRU will pay the money which he rightfully won.
Allan said while a million things are running through his mind, he will try his best not to let it affect his game this weekend.
Allan said he will decide what actions to take if the money is not paid to him and taking legal action is something he will also explore.
Other winners who were announced saw three people winning $10,000 each and one of them was former President, the Tui Vuda Ratu Josefa Iloilo.
The third prize of $30,000 was won by Isaia Gauna of New South Wales, Australia.
The second prize of $70,000 was won by Ken Jenson of Dragon Music.
In addition, 40 ticket holders won $500 each while 3 people won $5000, 10 others won $2000 and 6 ticket holders won $250 each.
These people are also waiting anxiously for their money.
Meanwhile, after a meeting with the FRU yesterday on the matter, the Commerce Commission will call a press conference later today to announce its final decision on the lottery ticket saga.
