As we prepare to return to a democratic government in 2014, reliable organizations like Leadership Fiji can deliver the leaders who will meet the challenges that await us.
That is the sentiment of the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau as he officially launched Leadership Fiji 2011 welcoming the 10th group of participants last night in Suva.
Ratu Epeli said leadership is an issue which is critical for the country as he recalled the major upheavals the country went through in the events of the year 2000.
However he said one of the positive responses was the formation of leadership Fiji.
The President called on the participants to be great leaders and that they must consider the needs of all citizens.
The Leadership Fiji initiative is aimed specifically at assisting emerging leaders from a wide range of organizations to cope with demands of the ever-changing world and allows members to explore their own values, philosophies, prejudices and beliefs through a variety of issues.
A total of twenty five participants will be taking part in the Leadership Fiji Program for this year.
