The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side has been bundled out of the HSBC SVNS World Championship after going down 19-31 to host the USA.

Sesenieli Donu was shown a yellow card in the second minute of the first half, although the USA could not capitalise and score.

The USA scored five tries, while the Fijiana’s three tries were scored in the last 3 minutes of the game to trail the USA 19-24 with a minute to go.

The hope of clinching a last-minute win was dashed after the USA turned over the ball, and Susan Adegoke scored in the dying seconds of the game.

The Fijiana lost to Australia 26-5 in their first pool match, but they came back strong against France with a 26-22 win.

The women’s cup semi finals are at 7.40am tomorrow, with the cup final at 12.05pm tomorrow.
