People of Kavala village in Kadavu are excited to see that some of the restrictions have been eased as more and more people are receiving their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Kavala village nurse, Alumita Rokotuiloma says 77% of the eligible villagers have received their second doses.

She says 13% of the eligible population in the village have only received their first dose and are waiting to get their second doses.

Rokotuiloma says they are thankful for the support from the Provincial Administrator in Kadavu who provided support to villagers during the lockdown period.

She adds they are currently living in a COVID-free environment as none of the villagers in Kavala tested positive for the virus.
