Namosi Secondary School dominates long distance events at Suva Zone One
Iowane Viani won gold and Roela Kaloumaira of Namosi Secondary School has both won gold 3,000 metres event

Roela Kaloumaira of Namosi Secondary School won gold in the girls open grade 3,000 metres event in the Suva Zone One at the ANZ Stadium.

Kaloumaira clocked a time of 12 minutes 22.76 seconds.

Ateca Rotabua of Ballantine Memorial Secondary School settled for silver while Vitalina Radinisiwa of Namosi Secondary School came third.

In the boys division, Iowane Viani won gold, Christopher Tikolutu settled for silver while William Esava got bronze. They are all from Namosi Secondary School.

Viani who settled for silver in the sub-junior boys 1500 event in the 2018 Coca Cola Games has dedicated the win today to his parents.

He will be participating in the 4x400 metres relay tomorrow.
