A joint investigation by Police and the National Fire Authority is now underway after an 84-year-old man passed away in a house fire.
Police say the man was allegedly trapped inside the house.
The incident occurred at Nararavou Village in Ra yesterday.
The man’s son had informed the Rakiraki Police Station about the fire.
Attempts to put out the fire by villagers proved unsuccessful.
