Job Fair in Raiwaqa connects Fijians to local opportunities

A two-day job fair is underway at the Latter-Day Saints Church in Raiwaqa which offers job seekers opportunities to enter the workforce in Fiji.

A job seeker from Nabua says he applied for the seasonal workers program two years ago but has yet to receive a response from the Ministry of Employment.

He is now attending the fair to explore any job opportunities available to support his family.

While opening of the fair, Minister of Employment Agni Deo Singh says the job fair empowers Fijians seeking employment to contribute to the national economy.

Singh says there is a need to uplift communities for a sustainable future by creating pathways for a better Fiji.

The event features 42 employer booths and ends tomorrow.
