Jennings relieved to finally represent his paternal side during his career
Michael Jennings

It was a memorable night for Michael Jennings after scoring a hattrick for the Vodafone Fiji Bati in their 56-6 win against the Cook Islands Aitu last night, saying he is glad to finally represent his paternal side of the family as he heads towards the end of his career.

Jennings says he is privileged to score the three tries and finish their campaign on a winning note.

He also hinted to fijivillage news that this is the last international game he will play because age has caught up on him.

He adds that the current young players in the Fiji Bati squad are good contenders for the World Cup.

Jennings hopes he has influenced one of the kids watching the game and urges youths to keep chasing their dreams and do what they do best.

The Fiji Bati will await the results of the PNG Kumuls and Cook Islands match next week to determine their path to the final of the 2024 Pacific Championships.
