Italy came from behind to secure a 38-17 bonus point win over Uruguay in their second 2023 Rugby World Cup pool clash this morning.

Uruguay led at halftime 17-7 after they took advantage of Italy’s two yellow cards, but the Azzurri produced a stirring second-half performance scoring 31 points to claim the win.

The win has also placed Italy at the top of Pool A with 10 points from two bonus point wins ahead of France which is second with 10 points as well.

The All Blacks are in third place with 5 points after two rounds.

France will play Namibia in their third pool game at 7am tomorrow, while Italy will take on the All Blacks at 7am next Saturday.

Italy’s hope of reaching the quarter finals will rest on their results against the All Blacks and France.
