The President of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce Satish Kumar says it is an unusual Saturday as there are not many people in Labasa Town and supermarkets are also not crowded.
Kumar says some people have now decided to not travel to Labasa Town unless it is necessary.
He says they have also received information from the bus operators that people are hardly travelling.
Kumar adds sales have significantly dropped for businesses like restaurants and clothing stores.
Kumar says while most businesses and people are following all COVID-19 related protocols, some are wearing masks just for the sake of it.
