Police are currently investigating the murder of a 48-year-old Jittu Estate resident, Lamuel Dass who was found dead with visible injuries on his body on Saturday afternoon.
His wife, Praveen Lata and their three children received the news of her husband's passing in Sigatoka on Saturday.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Lata said she had taken her children to Sigatoka on Friday evening to visit her sister.
Lata was shocked and confused when her sister‑in‑law told her that her husband was in critical condition.
Dass was a casual street trader and was the sole breadwinner for his family.
Police Spokesperson, Josaia Weicavu said no suspects have been identified and people are requested to contact them if they have any information.
The post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.
