Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he does not know when the next elections will be held in Fiji.
When Fijivillage questioned Bainimarama in an interview on whether elections will be held late next year after the electoral reforms are in place, he said he cannot say at this stage.
Commodore Bainimarama was also asked if he feels that elections should or may be held in 2010.
However, he said he cannot confirm anything at this stage.
Commodore Bainimarama stressed that the next elections will be held under a new electoral system.
He said despite comments being made about the legality of the reforms, the interim government is determined to scrap the race based electoral system.
