The Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to meet the Bus Operators Association and other stakeholders this hour to discuss their grievances.
The stakeholders include officials from the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority, the Land Transport Authority, the Finance Ministry and the Transport Ministry.
Meanwhile, the Interim Finance Minister stressed that the operators will not get any assistance unless they provide audit accounts of their business.
Mahendra Chaudhry told Fijivillage no requests will be considered until this requirement is met.
Chaudhry also revealed that some bus operators are reluctant to reveal their actual revenue.
When contacted by Fijivillage, Bus Operators Association General Secretary Chaitanya Lakshman said discussions are ongoing to resolve the matter and they will not comment at this stage.
