They cannot speak on behalf of the Indigenous Fijians because they have no mandate to do so.
This is the view of the SDL party on the 16 Fijian NCBBF members that had stated in a 13 page release why the Indigenous Fijians should support the NCBBF and the Draft People's Charter.
The group includes Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara, Jokapeci Koroi, Adi Finau Tabakaucoro, Reverend Akuila Yabaki, Ratu Filimoni Ralogaivau and Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo amongst others.
Ousted Prime Minister and SDL leader Laisenia Qarase has questioned the authenticity of the 13 page release.
The SDL party said the plea taken by the 16 "i taukei" NCBBF members, and Vanua chiefs for all people to support the NCBBF Charter process, is a desperate attempt to salvage what surely will become a failed adventure by the Interim Government.
The Party's advice to the NCBBF is to abandon the People's Charter and cut our losses because it has failed to win the support of the people.
The Party added the best advice that the NCBBF can give to the Interim Prime Minister is to take the country to a general election by March 2009.
