The Fiji rugby team is always well known for its threatening backline but this has not been the case so far in this year's Rugby World.
1999 Rugby World Cup coach for Fiji and former All Black, Brad Johnstone said the issue is very clear that the Fijians have been trained out of their play, and this has taken away the team's X-factor which was well known in the past.
Meanwhile, there are indications today that there are some unhappy players in the Fiji 15s team and indecision in the coaching camp.
Brad Johnstone who is currently in Auckland has made this comment after watching the Fiji versus Samoa pool match at Eden Park on Sunday and speaking to some of the players after the match.
Johnstone said people who will make decisions on the future of Fiji rugby after this RWC should analyze why the team played the way they did on Sunday.
Johnstone said the question needs to be asked why the players almost did not want to compete in the match against Samoa although everyone knew that we had to win that match to stay in contention for the World Cup quarter finals.
We contacted Fiji 15's Manager, Pio Bosco Tikoisuva and he has referred all queries to the team's Media Manager, Vilikesa Rinavuaka.
Rinavuaka said he cannot say anything on the matter.
