Imposter claiming to be Director Legal and obtaining financial advantage by deception - Nemani
Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Jone Maretino Nemani

Permanent Secretary for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations, Jone Maretino Nemani says there is an imposter who is claiming to be a Director Legal for the Employment Ministry, approaching Fijians and obtaining financial advantage by deception through money transfers using MPaisa and other platforms.

Nemani further says members of the public are advised to contact the Employment Ministry for any matters relating to employment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand or report to their nearest Police Station if they have paid any money.

He says they will not be responsible and do not support such deceitful means from individuals claiming to represent the Employment Ministry or a holder of a high position in any public office.

The Permanent Secretary adds the National Employment Centre under the Employment Ministry is solely responsible for the labour mobility programs offered by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand to send Fijians for overseas employment and does not require members of the public to pay any cash to register.
