IPPF has launched the Pacific Niu Vaka Strategy Phase II

The International Planned Parenthood Federation has launched the Pacific Niu Vaka Strategy Phase II.

The second phase of Niu Vaka was created with the purpose of driving change and impact on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights in the Pacific through targeted interventions relevant to this unique region.

The Director Programme and Operations Pacific, Chris Golden, says the challenges faced in Phase I and other lessons learnt will be implemented in Phase II.

The Minister for Health, Atonio Lalabalavu says together they can empower and enable access for sexual reproductive health services.

Lalabalavu says that the Niu Vaka Strategy 2023-2028 contributes towards meeting Fiji’s health objectives and to reduce unintended pregnancies and also gender based violence.

He adds working along with other Ministries and international partners they can reach out to communities with essential lifesaving health services.
