Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry has confirmed receiving a number of applications from overseas investors planning to build new hotels in Fiji.
Speaking to Village News Chaudhry stressed that investors are still interested in Fiji and they have not been influenced by last year’s event.
Chaudhry said negative comments coming from local stakeholders in the tourism sector is not helping the industry in any way and has urged all to work closely with the Interim Government in seeing that the industry grows this year.
