Heading into this afternoon’s semi final against the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s, hosts Australia have labelled themselves as the underdogs of their own tournament.

Despite a perfect performance last night beating the USA 31-7 in the quarter final, the men in gold know it does not get easier from here.

Aussie youngster Henry Palmer says even though they have insisted they will be the underdogs, they will still play without fear.

The last time the two teams met was at the Cape Town 7s in December last year where the Aussies beat Fiji 29-7 in the semi final.

Palmer says winning a knockout game on their home soil will mean a lot to them.

He says they are here to prove that they can go all the way.

Palmer further says Fiji is one of the world leaders but they have shown in Cape Town that they can beat anyone on their day.

The Aussies will take on Fiji at 5.34pm today in the second semi final.

In the first semi final, Ireland will play Argentina at 5.10pm today.

The Men’s cup final will be at 9.53 tonight.
