The latest FST GMS VIS satellite picture from the Nadi Weather Office

A heavy rain warning remains in force for the interior and Eastern parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group.

This could lead to localised flash flooding.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain lies slow moving over the South Western parts of Fiji. Another trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain is moving towards the Fiji Group from the North.

Expect heavy rain from later today into the weekend.

The Weather Office says localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
