It is moving East-North-East at 17km/hr and is expected to develop further.

The Nadi Weather Office said associated rain bands continue to affect the Northern parts of Fiji.

Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms are expected for the Northern part of Fiji.

Heavy rain may also lead to flash flooding in low lying areas.

A strong wind warning remains in force for the Kadavu and Vatu-i-ra passage, the Koro sea, the Southern Lau waters and is now in force for Northern Vanua Levu and the Northern Lau waters.
