Heavy rain fails to stop the Sukuna Bowl Touch Rugby competition this morning

Heavy rain and thunderstorms this morning failed to dampen the spirits of the two forces competing in the 2023 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl tournament as the Touch Rugby competition got underway at the Nasova Grounds.

While opening the Touch Rugby competition this morning, Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew wished the two teams well and said he hopes the outcome of the tournament will achieve greater unity amongst the two forces.

Chew says this is also for better working relationships to serve the people of Fiji better.

The first match was the mixed category which was won by Police after beating Army 10-4.

Police also beat Army 9-7 in the second match which was the Women’s category

The tournament continues at Nasova this morning.

The Boxing competition will start at 12.30pm today at the Nasova Police Academy.

The Ratu Sukuna Bowl rugby match between defending champions Police and Army will kick off at 4.30pm Friday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
