Many areas in the western division are already flooded and heavy rain is expected to continue going into tonight.

Please do not leave things to the last minute.

A flood alert is in force for all low lying areas in Fiji, Nayavu, Wainibuka River, Nairukuruku, Wainimala River, Waimanu, Rewa River, Dewala, Dreketilailai and Labasa River.

A strong wind warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.

Expect winds of 60 kilometres per hour gusting to 80 kilometres per hour.

This is expected to affect the weak structures.

A Tropical Disturbance was located about 75 kilometres south-southeast of Vunisea earlier this afternoon.

It is moving southeast at about 20 kilometres per hour.

Associated active trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji.

Heavy rain is expected to continue until Wednesday as another Tropical Disturbance located near Vanuatu is also heading our way.
