The Health Ministry is very concerned about the amount of misinformation that is currently out there for the public about COVID-19 and is urging people to get their information from the right sources.

Responding to a question on the Fiji National University Explain the Science on the COVID-19 vaccine in Fiji about people now questioning if they can still trust the information from the World Health Organisation about COVID-19, Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says there are a lot of places that someone can find information on COVID-19, but it is best to look at information from reliable sources.

He says reliable sources are those sites that have evidence of scientific investigations and research such as the Health Ministry, WHO or Health websites such as the SPC and Fiji National University.

Dr Tudravu says it is very important that people are careful where they get their information because that is what they will trust.

Dr Tudravu highlighted that the Ministry of Health believes that WHO is still the reliable centre for right information.
