Hamilton 7s: NZ men’s and women’s team to defend their titles

The New Zealand men’s 7s team will defend their Hamilton 7s title against an ever improving Argentinian side on home ground after walloping France 38-0 in the first cup semi final.

Argentina beat USA 24-14 in the second cup semi final.

Ireland will take on Australia in the men’s 5th place final at 4.34pm followed by the men’s Bronze final match between France and USA at 5.59pm.

The men’s cup final is at 6.56pm.

Meanwhile, the Black Ferns will defend their Hamilton 7s title against USA after thrashing Ireland 32-0 in the second women’s cup semi final.

They will take on USA in the cup final at 6.26pm.

USA caused the upset of the tournament after defeating women’s Rugby World Cup champions Australia 10-7 in the first cup semi final.

Fijiana will take on France in the 7th place final at 4.04pm.

Great Britain will face Japan in the 5th place final at 4.56pm followed by the Bronze final between Australia and Ireland at 5.37pm.

The women’s cup final will be played at 6.26pm.
