Team Fiji's 3x3 Men’s Basketball side defeated Tahiti 16-12 in their first game at the Pacific Games.
The team is made up of Keenan Hughes, Joshua Motufaga, Joshua Fox, and Filimoni Waqabaca.
They will play Guam at 3.05pm today in their second match, followed by Palau at 7.55pm and Cook Islands at 6.40pm Friday.
The women's team also won their first defeating Samoa 16-8.
The women's team will meet the Marshall Islands at 4.15pm today, then play Cook Islands at 8.45pm and meet the Solomon Islands at 8.45pm Friday in their last pool match.
Team Fiji currently sits in 5th place with 14 gold, 20 silver and 29 bronze.
New Caledonia is leading with 70 gold, 44 silver and 45 bronze, while Australia is in second place with 42 gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze.
