The Suva Grammar School is set to sparkle as it marks its 65th Blue Sapphire anniversary next week, with celebrations kicking off on Sunday with a church service than on Monday and building up to a grand ball on Saturday.

The 65th jubilee project this year is called 'Digital Grammar', with funds to go towards setting the school up with the tools and infrastructure for the digital age.

This year’s celebration will be held both during the day and at night.

Kicking off the celebration on Sunday with a church service and on Monday is the 90s decade, who will be holding a reunion at the O’Rilleys Nightclub from 6pm to 12 midnight. The tickets are $50. They will also hold the ultimate bus ride 2.0.

On Tuesday the 60s decade will host a champagne afternoon tea at the British Legion from 12pm to 5pm. Tickets are $40 per person. At 6pm the same day, current students will hold a concert at the Vodafone Arena, and tickets are $20.

The 70s decade will host a tribute to love and friendship on Wednesday at the Fiji Gold Club from 6pm to 12 midnight.

Also on Wednesday, the school will hold its first U18 Capping Ceremony at the school hall, starting at 6pm.

The 2010 decade will host a Kava Barrel Night at the school’s hard courts from 6pm on Thursday while the school’s Sports Award will be at the Grammar Hall from 6pm.

On Friday, the 60s and 70s old scholars will be the guests for a fun fair that will be held at the school’s hard court from 9am to 5pm.

From 5pm to 10pm, the 2000 decade will host a rumble in the jungle at the Vodafone Arena.

The main attraction of the celebration, the 65th Anniversary Grand Ball, will be held on next Saturday at the Vodafone Arena from 6pm to 12 midnight.

Tickets are $200.
