The applications for the government’s 2025 back-to-school assistance of $200 per student will open today and will close on the 6th of December this year.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad says $40 million has been allocated for this initiative.
Professor Prasad says families earning a combined annual income of $50,000 or less, with children from early childhood education up to Year 13 will be eligible to apply and payments will commence from Wednesday 15th January next year.
He says parents and guardians can obtain forms from schools or download them from the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Finance website.
