The Ministry of Health and Medical Services, Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection will come together after Cabinet endorsed the Fiji National Early Childhood Development Policy.

The policy aims to ensure all young children in Fiji, are well nourished and healthy, particularly during the first 1,000 days.

This is to ensure children receive proper care, stimulation, and opportunities for early learning, and growing up in nurturing environments protected from all kinds of violence, abuse, neglect, and conflict.
