Governor-General of Australia attends wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial

The Governor-General of Australia David Hurley and his wife, Linda Hurley attended a wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial in Nasese, Suva.

Hurley was escorted by the Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing Inia Seruiratu.

The Governor-General also placed a wreath on the memorial monument for the fallen heroes.

Attending the wreath laying ceremony this morning was the Fijian High Commissioner to Australia, Luke Daunivalu, Australian High Commissioner John Feakes and his senior officials, RFMF Commander Major General Jone Kalouniwai, senior officials from the Fiji Navy and senior officials from the Fiji Corrections Service.
