Actor Matthew Perry best known for playing Chandler Bing on 'Friends' has passed away.

He was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home.

He was 54-years-old.

LA Times reports authorities responded to his home where he was discovered unresponsive.

They say sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing, did not cite a cause of death.

The sources add there was no sign of foul play.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery-homicide detectives are investigating the death.

The cause of death will be determined at a later date by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Warner Bros. Television Group, which produced “Friends,” says they are devastated by the passing of their dear friend, Matthew Perry.

They say Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family and the impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many.

Warner Bros. says this is a heartbreaking day, and they send their love to his family, his loved ones, and all of his devoted fans.
