Friendly North festival funds to be used for Kidney dialysis center setup
Good news for people of Vanua Levu as funds collected at the Vodafone Friendly North festival will be used to setup a Kidney dialysis center at the Labasa hospital.

This new project will see a number of people from the Northern division save on fare who currently have to travel to Suva to get dialysis treatment.

Vodafone Friendly North festival President, Hazeem Hussein said they raised over $100,000 during the festival but have left over money from previous festivals and are planning to spend $200,000 on the project.

He said the Ministry of Health has provided space at the Labasa hospital where the dialysis center will be setup.

Meanwhile, 24 year old Losalini Loloma was crowned queen of the Vodafone Friendly North festival last night.

Miss Fiji Sugar Corporation also won Miss Charity where she collected around $20,000.
