The Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15’s team have completed their maiden Women’s Rugby World Cup with a 44-0 defeat to world number four France.

This loss also means that they will not qualify to the cup quarter finals.

The Fijiana were caught off guard with rushing defence from the French and giving away possession with knock ons and the slow recycle of the ball from the ruck.

France was leading 20-nil at halftime after they scored three unanswered tries in the first half.

France then scored another four tries in the second half.

Fijiana fullback Roela Radiniyavuni was yellow carded in the first half for a late tackle on Melisande Llorens.

Radiniyavuni then committed a deliberate knock down that saw her sin binned for the second time which makes it a red card.
