Former Flying Fijian Joeli Veitayaki passes away
Former Flying Fijians Prop Joeli Veitayaki

Former Flying Fijians Prop Joeli Veitayaki has passed away.

This has been confirmed by his daughter Talei Veitayaki.

Veitayaki made his debut for Fiji against the New Zealand Maori in Christchurch on 4th June 1994.

He played at the 1999 and 2003 Rugby World Cup.

Talei says her father’s passing has come as a great shock to their family.

Haereiti Hetet, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop and current FIJI Water Flying Fijian member is the son of the late Veitayaki.

Talei adds they deeply appreciate all the love, prayers and support during this difficult time.

The funeral and service details will be shared once confirmed.
