A former Corrections Officer appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon charged with a count each of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and unlawful entry of prohibited article.
It is alleged that Jesoni Ramasoli supplied 10.2 grams of marijuana, mobile phones and other items to inmate Deshwar Dutt.
The incident occurred on the 13th of this month in Lami.
Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa has granted Ramasoli bail in the sum of $300 with one surety who has signed a surety bond of $300.
The case has been adjourned to 12th July for mention.
