Former Ba resident dies from COVID-19 in Rhode Island, USA

A 43-year-old former Fiji citizen who was from Karavi, Ba, has passed away due to COVID-19 in Rhode Island, USA.

The Manning Hefern Funeral Home confirms Suchendra Singh tragically died due to COVID-19.

Singh worked at the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island for over 23 years alongside family and friends.

He was born on June 8th 1976 in Ba.

Singh and his family went to the United States at the age of 12.

He is survived by his wife and his 16-year-old son.

Due to the current situation with social distancing, the funeral arrangements will be held in private for immediate family.

A family gathering was also held in Naikabula, Lautoka over the weekend.
