Foreclosure notices issued to 3 pharmacies in Suva
Foreclosure notices have been given to 3 pharmacies in the Suva area as the investigations continue against retail pharmacies.

This is the strict stand of the Health Ministry as they uncover   unfair trade practices and breaches of the law by retail pharmacies.

Apart from the foreclosure notices, two private sector pharmacists have had their registration suspended for unprofessional and unethical practices.

Minister for Health Dr Neil Sharma revealed investigations shows  pharmacies have been practicing incorrect labeling of medicine, absence of Tax Identification Number, charging high prices for drugs, issuing receipts without company names and one owner operating more than two pharmacies.
