Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says for only eight of Fiji's 50 years of history have all Fijians shared the same rights, the same votes of equal value and the same national identity.

Bainimarama says today we celebrate the Constitution that made all of that possible.

He says it is our first Constitution for all Fijians.

The Prime Minister has wished all Fijians a happy 8th anniversary of our Constitution.
