The Fiji Water Flying Fijians have shown that they can compete against the best in the world as long as they get to play against the top-tier teams around the world.

Coach Simon Raiwalui stated that they needed to play more games against big teams around the world to get much better.

After their heartbreaking 32-26 loss to Wales in their 2023 Rugby World Cup opener, Raiwalui says it was disappointing for them but they needed more games like this in the future.

He says they wanted to win against Wales yesterday and set them up for the tournament but they have to move on to their next target and that is against the Wallabies next week.

Raiwalui says the team has shown that they improve everytime they play and with more top-tier games in the future, they are sure to get better.

The Flying Fijians will now take on the Wallabies at 3.45am next Monday in Lyon.
