Flash flood likely for low lying areas
Heavy rain is likely to cause flash flooding of low lying areas in the country.

The Duty Forecaster at the Nadi Weather Office said a trough of low pressure associated with cloud and rain is moving onto the group from the North which is expected to merge with the frontal system to the South West overnight.

He said the system will bring periods of rain which will be heavier at times resulting in flash flooding of low lying areas.

He said heavy rainfall is expected from later tonight into tomorrow.

The weather is expected to ease from Friday.
