Flash Flood Alert issued for eastern parts of Viti Levu and parts of Vanua Levu

A Flash Flood Alert remains in force for small streams and low-lying, flash flood prone areas of interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu including from Korolevu, through coral coast, Navua, Lami, Suva, Wainimala, Waidina, Wainibuka, Nausori to Korovou, Dobuilevu, Rakiraki to Tavua and parts of Vanua Levu from Nabouwalu, through Dama, Lekutu, Batiri and Seaqaqa to Labasa.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the interior and eastern half of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

They say occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over the northern division, Yasawa and Mamanuca group.

A trough of low pressure associated with cloud and rain remains slow moving over the north western and northern parts of Fiji.
