Fish business helps Maraiwai to support the education of his grandchildren

68-year-old Samu Maraiwai who has been selling fish at the Suva Fish market for more than 30 years says the small business of selling fish he has enables him to support the education of his grandchildren since this is the only source of income for his family.

Maraiwai says he earns more than $1,000 a week.

He says with his experience as a fish seller currently there is a deficiency of supply compared to the past.

The 68-year-old challenges everyone to take care of our Eco-system because it is the source of our livelihood.
