Leaders from the various political parties and members of the interim government will today gather at the Parliament Complex to discuss the upcoming Presidential Forum for the first time this year.
Military Spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni has confirmed that all political party leaders are invited after Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama had earlier this week said that NFP General Secretary Pramod Rae and SDL Leader Laisenia Qarase may not be invited to the meeting.
Meanwhile, according to former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, the main topic of discussion will be the Presidential Forum and all matters concerning it.
Qarase said he is optimistic about today's meeting.
National Federation Party President, Raman Pratap Singh said they will highlight issues on returning to parliamentary democracy however they want to hear more from the interim government.
The political forum to be chaired by Commodore Bainimarama will start at 9:30 this morning at the parliament complex.
