A fire broke out during the screening of Vicky Kaushal’s historical movie ‘Chaava’ in a theatre in New Delhi.

According to reports, the fire broke out in a corner of the movie screen yesterday afternoon whereby the people present reported that the fire alarm went off, prompting the mall staff to evacuate everyone from the location.

They say the incident resulted in the dispatch of six fire trucks to the scene and the Delhi Fire Services brought the blaze under control within 10 minutes and that the audience escaped unharmed.

A spokesperson for the mall where the incident occurred stated that a short circuit at the adjoining multiplex caused the fire.

Meanwhile, ‘Chhavva’ is performing well at the box office just two weeks after its release, earning a whooping Rs 509.75 crores and has emerged as the biggest hit of 2025 so far.
